Do you ever get caught up in analysis paralysis? So much thinking and not enough doing? Or have you had so many other things going on in life it feels like you have missed an opportunity?
It is so helpful to change your thoughts around this to help you get out of the rut and unstuck! Maybe the right time is now. I didn’t miss an opportunity, I have been training my whole life for what is in front of me right now. Taking everything from behind me as experience and data and wisdom! We gain maturity either through time or experience.
Philippians 3:14-15 – “I press on toward the goal for the price of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Let those of us who are mature think this way, and if anything you think otherwise, God will reveal that also to you.”
How does that change your perspective? Can you look back at jobs and experiences and life and see how that impacts you today? Can you see how that makes you feel motivated versus trapped?
We all have things in life that we wish we could go back and change. Things that happened to us or things we chose. Sometimes we didn’t know better and sometimes we were being influenced and sometimes we were in rebellion. Different phases and different stages of life have helped shape me into who I am today. Belief in the sovereignty of God comes into play here in a major way. Could He have stopped something? Yes! But can He use what did happen? Also, YES!
As you look at your life right now (especially if you are a mom in her mid 40s who is facing a new stage in life shortly), what do you see as opportunity? What are you passionate about? What is your calling? Look ahead to the future and use your past as fuel!
