Health Update

Let’s go back a few years to 2019, when I tried Plexus for the first time. I saw my friend Hannah post about Plexus, energy, and gut health. Around that same time, I hit my 40s with a bang and started focusing on hormone issues related to my cycle. I scheduled an appointment with a new doctor, but due to financial pressures at the time, I decided I could not do both the appointments and Plexus. At that point, I was still chasing symptoms like excessive bleeding, cycle issues, and adrenal fatigue. The next few years involved visits to three doctors and thousands of dollars spent on supplements—sometimes up to 12 supplements taken morning and night. However, I was still only finding temporary relief.

In May 2024, I ended up having a hysterectomy due to a softball-sized uterine fibroid. This explained why I was having the problems I was experiencing, but not what caused them. My blood pressure skyrocketed, and I began having joint pain and extreme fatigue. It took me six months to try to recover from the surgery. While some symptoms were gone, I still felt like I was spiraling down a hole of health issues with no real explanation or direction.

I was also tested and found out I have two MTHFR gene mutations and needed to take specific methylated B vitamins. That’s when my friend Janelle reached out to me again in the fall of 2024. She told me about Plexus XFactor+, explaining that it is methylated and helps with energy. I was still trying to finish up some protocols I had already purchased. I ordered some products for my daughter but still did not start Plexus myself.
By January 2025, however, I felt like I could barely get out of bed. My body hurt, and I was convinced I had an autoimmune disease. I went back to my doctor and insisted on more testing, including tests for autoimmune diseases. He also ordered an organic acids test. All of my blood work came back perfect—which was crazy, because I felt horrible.

My organic acids test came back with some major findings. My body was functioning well up to my large intestine, but all of my numbers crashed after that. This was largely due to an imbalance in gut bacteria. My doctor wanted to start me on a protocol that I did for one month, but it was expensive, tasted terrible, and was not sustainable.

That is when I turned back to Plexus for myself. If my gut was ultimately the issue, then I was going to go back to the OG of gut health—something that is also easier and tastes really good! It is not a struggle to remember to drink the Pink Drink every day; it is actually something I look forward to. I have also tried Restore and love Hydrate and Active.
My body is still healing, but what is amazing is that fairly early on I could feel slight improvements. Those small improvements have continued to gain momentum, and I truly believe my body will continue to heal. Not overnight—but I didn’t get this sick overnight either. With all of the expensive protocols I tried before, I never actually felt better while on them.

I take BioCleanse and XFactor+ in the morning (and I just added Immune+ for the holidays). During the day, I drink a Pink Drink (and sometimes Active and Hydrate, because I like them). At night, I take three ProBio5 and one BioCleanse. It amazes me that I am taking less than ever before, yet my body is continuing to get better.

Three takeaways from my health journey:
*Journal your symptoms and improvements—you will be amazed at what you notice.
*Google “gut health + [your symptoms].” Gut health affects everything.
*Keep asking yourself whether something is a symptom or a root cause. Keep peeling back the layers until you reach the root cause. Painful periods, joint pain, brain fog, acid reflux, migraines, and weight gain are all symptoms. GUT HEALTH is probably your root cause!
